Reminder about two short weeks

A few community items have come into our office for distribution to you:

  • The CVRD is working on a regional Active Transportation Network Plan and would appreciate our help in spreading the word. Please feel free to use the blurb below in your next newsletter/info to parents/students and staff.

  • Hello Parents/Guardians of Grade 5 students,

 

Students in School District 71 have an opportunity to start French Immersion in Grade 6. The Late Immersion Program is a program of choice and is housed at École Puntledge Park. For more information about this program, please view the information video on the School District's Registration page or contact either stephane.leblanc@sd71.bc.ca or noah.burdett@sd71.bc.ca at École Puntledge Park.

 

LFI registration opens Monday, February 8th, at 6:00 pm.

 

  • Good Afternoon – this is super exciting to see!!  The CVRD is starting to plan for summer camps,  pool and skating -  all signs pointing to things are going to get better.   So great for our kids.   I thought you might want to include this information in one of your newsletters (neat little Family Day picture opportunity) and everyone who enters wins a free swim or skate and a chance to win a camp…..

Family Day ACTIVITY Challenge (All Ages)

Get a FREE Pool/Rink Pass & Be Entered to Win A Free Summer Program

We want to know what you and/or your family are doing to be active this Family Day!  Take a picture of yourself or of your family being active this Family Day – Monday, February 15th and send it to us.  Each household who submits a photo and a photo release will receive a pass for one free admission to a CVRD drop-in program (i.e. Everyone Welcome Skate; Lane, Rehab or Open Swim; or Wellness Centre visit).  All those who enter will be put into a draw to win free admission to a CVRD 2021 summer camp (or another summer program of their choice).  Simply fill in the attached photo release and email it and your photo to sbullock@comoxvalleyrd.ca.      

Dates: Photos Must be Submitted on Feb. 15th!

Cost:  Free

 

Summer Camps at a Glance

The CVRD has a number of summer camps to choose from this year.  We have everything from outdoor, aquatic, skating, hockey, multisport and even babysitters daycamps.  Camps are weeklong (Monday – Friday) and cost $140 for the 5 days.  For more information or to register please visit our website at: www.comoxvalleyrd.ca/rec.
